Drinks Sector

The UK Drinks market is the top selling consumer goods sector within the UK market. It’s annual value was worth £19n as of 2021. The average UK household spends on average over £20.70 on alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks per week, and this is expected to continue to grow at about 5% CAGR.

DTG made its start in 2020 amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, where we spotted the potential to supply breweries and pubs with Pegas foam-free taps, which we import from East Europe. The taps fill plastic bottles first with Carbon Dioxide or Nitrous gas before following with draught alcohol. This leaves the bottled draught as fresh as in the keg as, without oxygen, there is no foam or overspill. Consequently, DraftToGo Ltd was formed (DTG). Since then, the company has continually expanded its client base.

The company has since been able to attract in the UK key clients within the trade and support the supply of draught during lockdown to customers including: Affinity Brewery, Calverley’s Brewery, Black Iris Brewery, London Calling Sweden, Portishead Brewing, BrewBoard Brewery, to name a few.

Climate & Renewables

Renewables and Green technology will be the oil boom of tomorrow. For the innovators that first quantify the ideas to revolutionise these sectors such as water, transportation, power-to-x and the hard to abate sectors, investment will be far more important than proof-of-concept, as the meritocracy trap grows more powerful, and disposable wealth is condensed in the hands of fewer people.

Proving a green energy discovery is chalk and cheese to proving an oil well however, and there are plenty of people passionate about environmental change. Proving one’s dedication to the ’cause’ of environmentalism, by gluing oneself to a road, throwing away 30 eggs a week, preventing businesses from trading, or flying over 10,000 miles to protest, are all highly eye-catching – crime and irrationality usually is.

In the future, Britain’s UHNW individuals will fund less zealous climate activists as they have done which has cost taxpayers and businesses tens of millions, and instead invest in more green start-ups as the numbers of viable opportunites increases and eclipses the attraction of our current crop of law breaking climate activists.
